"It was fantastic for our students to experience real-world science in action."

Funding for Outdoor Learning

Our grants have funded hiking trips to the mountains, ecology programs at the coast, and construction of outdoor classrooms, trails, and agricultural learning facilities statewide.

GO Grants provide North Carolina’s students access to the outdoors and opportunities for direct experience and to learn by doing. If you’re a North Carolina educator, interested in getting your students outdoors, you can fill out a quick and easy application for GO Grant funding.

"Their learning took place while enjoying the great outdoors. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity."
