Step 1: Club Guidelines

Please read the following guidelines in full before submitting an application. For further questions, please refer to the FAQ below.

The application window for the 2024-2025 school year is now closed and will reopen in 2025. 

Step 2: Application Form

Please ensure you have read and understood our guidelines before submitting an application.

Please note: Applicants may optionally submit a 2-minute video in addition to their application form. Choosing not to submit a video will not impact the outcome of your application, we may just contact you later for a phone or video call! You can view the instructions linked below for further details. 

Apply for $10,000 to fund first-year club activities, including:

  • Field trip costs
  • Equipment
  • Outdoor-related professional development*

*Advisors may be approved to utilize a portion of the club funding for outdoor-related professional development that benefits the club long term.

Click the button below where you’ll be redirected to upload your applicant video – note you will be prompted for a password, contact GoOutside@nc.gov for access. Videos in excess of 2 minutes in length will take considerably longer to upload.

Step 3: Submit Application

Return the completed form, along with any additional supporting documentation you would like included, by either email, fax or mail.

Need to Make A Change?

If you need to amend your existing club plans, you may complete and submit a Club Amendment Form. Please ensure you do not make any changes until the amendment request has been approved by the Commission.
